I could say "penny for your thoughts", but then I'd be so clichéd I'd have to off myself in an incinerator

You know, even though Canadian pennies look almost exactly like American pennies, I like ours better. They've got that cute dotted line around the edges, whereas American ones are very plain. But then, the only American penny I can find is from 1990 (woo!), so maybe they've updated its image.
<-- Look! A Canadian penny!

I wonder why we have a picture of the Queen on ours, and the Americans have who I assume is Lincoln. Why not use their current president? I mean, I guess they can only be president for eight years, thus necessitating a complete makeover for the coin. But from my understanding, it's not a difficult process.

Perhaps they're afraid that someone who didn't vote for the president, i.e. Obama, might refuse to use the Obama penny, and this would throw capitalism as we know it into disarray. Perhaps the current economic crisis is actually because they tried making an Obama coin, but the Republicans refused to touch it.

That seems probable.

Post numero uno

Nikki said I had to include pictures in my blog, and I am incapable of doing anything without her constant guidance and supervision. Therefore, I have posted a picture of Gerard Depardieu, because my History prof. brought him up for no reason in class today. I think it had something to do with Emile Zola.

And now I've posted a picture of a walrus. I must say, this is going swimmingly.
In my English class, we're reading horrible canadian poetry, and I find it to be quite distasteful.
Well, I've run out of things to say / unrelated, uninteresting pictures to post. A successful first post indeed.
